Why are you a home business?

Money.....  The type of work we do is VERY labor intensive.  This means we work 10 hour days on projects that last up to 10 days each!  The math works out to just enough money to keep us happy.

We started this new business in May 2012 when we lost our position at a game machine distributor.  The entire amusement machine industry has shunken, most distributors are gone, game factories sell direct in small quantities.  Most technicians are like us, working from home, or left the industry for something else.  We have had to take a big drop in income.

This is certainly not our first repair business.  We know that there are only so many hours in a day.  There is no extra money to open and maintain a commercial building.  Our plan is to eventually go to a commercial building, but only after we can afford to hire at least 1 employee.  For now Kerry and I (Lee) work together in our home business.  We knew the economy, console games, x-box and smart phones would eventually destroy our beloved game business so we purchased portable buildings and converted our garage a long time ago.

We lived through the economic slow downs of the 70's, 80's and 90's.  Each time we had to adapt.  We always kept our pinball side business going since 1975.  Again, it's now what we do for a living.
